The Australian Agriculture Visa is no longer an available visa product.
The Australian Government is now delivering additional workers through the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme as part of our Plan to build a Stronger Pacific Family (link PALM: https://www.palmscheme.gov.au/).
The PALM scheme remains a key program for meeting agricultural workforce shortages. The Government will maintain its support for the growth of Australian agriculture, including with additional resources in the 2022-23 Budget to reach 35,000 PALM scheme workers in Australia by June 2023.
The Government will honour the Memorandum of Understanding with Vietnam and is in discussions with Vietnam on implementing this commitment. This will enable up to 1,000 workers to come to Australia to work in the agriculture sector. Once implementation arrangements are finalised with Vietnam, more information will be available.
